Are air fryers any good? We will come back to this question later on.

I am so excited to share this EASY and delicious air fryer steak recipe that I thought up myself! I made this a couple days ago when I was cleaning out my fridge and saw that I had some steaks that needed to be cooked. It was rainy, so I couldn't make them on the grill. I love to use my air fryer because it is insanely easy and makes meat so juicy.

Basically you just throw some seasoning salt and pepper on the steaks and stick them in the air fryer. It only took me 15 minutes to prep and cook! This is a new spring favorite for when the rain won't go away and you need a nice meal to bring up your mood. Growing up I hated steak (I know, disgraceful). I now appreciate the tenderness of the meat and the juices that come with it.

For this recipe, I pat the steaks with a paper towel to make them dry. I then season them with some seasoning salt and pepper on both sides. I lay down foil on the insert in my air fryer for an easy cleanup since these steaks come out juicy and tender. It also helps cook the steak in their own juices, making the outside of the steaks a little brown and gives them a flavorful taste.

I place the steaks in the air fryer and cook them on the steak setting shown on the face of my air fryer (400 degrees for 12 minutes). Timing varies depending on how you like your steak cooked, but for my favorite, medium, 12 minutes was perfect! I also recommend flipping them halfway through. Once they are done cooking, let them sit for a minute and then enjoy! You can even pair these with some A1 sauce.

Ingredients

  • Pepper ($2.44 from Walmart)

  • Seasoning salt ($1.62 from Walmart)

  • Boneless Steak Ribeye's (Price depends on the size of steaks)

Directions:

  1. Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel

  2. Season them with seasoning salt and pepper on both sides

  3. Line the air fryer with foil and place the steaks on top

  4. Cook at 400 degrees for 12 minutes, flipping them at the 6 minute mark

  5. Let sit for a couple minutes and then enjoy!

Temperatures for steak:

  • 125 degrees for rare

  • 135 degrees for medium rare

  • 145 degrees for medium

  • 150 degrees for medium well

Steak surprisingly cooks very quickly in the air fryer. I was cleaning the house and cooking this recipe at the same time! This is the best and easiest steak I have ever made at home. This is such a simple recipe even if you’re cooking them in your dorm room. Hooray for the air fryer! Your roommate will be so happy that you’re cooking steaks for them, too!

So, are air fryers any good? That is a question I will let YOU decide after trying my recipes!
