The Good and the Bad of the PowerXL Vortex Air Fryer

I decided to get an air fryer last year after hearing many people online rave about them. There were many things that impacted my decision about which air fryer to get such as cost, cook quality, size of the basket, and how easy it was to clean. I researched many different types of air fryers but my budget was $100 which limited my options since most air fryers are easily $100+.

After reading many reviews online, I decided to go with the PowerXL Vortex 7qt Air Fryer from Target. I’m so glad I bought this specific air fryer because it meets all my criteria and I use it almost daily. Right now the air fryer is $129.99 if you buy it online from Target, but it was on sale last Spring when I purchased it for $99. It is very user friendly in my opinion. I have cooked hamburgers, pork chops, fried pickles, etc., and they were cooked to perfection with a crisp outside and juicy inside.

This air fryer is definitely my go-to kitchen gadget for quick meals, and I've recommended it to so many people. My only complaint is that it's really big and takes up a lot of counter space. Although I only cook for myself and my boyfriend, I wanted an air fryer basket that was big enough to cook big meat, such as steak, and the 5qt basket looked too small. This air fryer cooks meat evenly and cuts my cooking time in half or more! You can even reheat leftovers and they come out much crispier compared to reheating food in a microwave.
The Good:
Cheaper than many other air fryer brands
The large 7qt size makes it easy to cook a large quantity of food in it
Has a none stick interior compartment
Extremely easy to use
The large vortex upper fan helps to cook foods evenly and fast
Simple to read digital display
The Bad:
Bulky
Takes up a lot of counter space
Does not come with dividers for the basket
Comes with a recipe book but has very few recipes in it

So far this air fryer has not disappointed me. I usually Google recipes or search on Pinterest for anything specific I’d like to make since the recipe book that comes with this air fryer doesn’t have many recipes in it, especially for picky eaters like me. Cooking with the PowerXL Vortex 7qt Air Fryer makes life so much easier, but if you're a college student living in a dorm room you might also want to check out the PowerXL 5qt Air Fryer. Now my boyfriend and I just have to find a new house with more counter space!
